XL Films has begun production on a feature documentary film entitled, "Authors of the Impossible". Based on the forthcoming book by Jeffrey J. Kripal, the film examines the history of the paranormal and psychical research, and its relationship to popular culture and our understanding of consciousness. The first round of production took the XL crew to The Esalen Institute in Big Sur, CA. for a week. The film is being shot entirely in 4K using the RED One Digital Cinema Camera System.
