XL relocates to Richmond, TX

In May, XL Films moved from Houston to Richmond, Texas. Richmond is 6 miles west of Sugar Land off highway 90, 3 miles north of Highway 59. High gas prices, traffic congestion, the high rent of their former digs, and the now common practice of previewing their work via the web precipitated the move. The company is now domiciled on a tree-lined, small-town street in a pink brick house built in 1960. Please make a note of the new address and phone number: 710 S. 8th Street, Richmond, Texas 77469; 281-633-8336. Find a map to us here.

XL lenses spots for Methodist Sugar Land Hospital

XL Films recently worked with the Methodist Sugar Land Hospital and Freed Advertising to create a four-spot television awareness campaign for the growing hospital. The campaign highlighted the high-quality physicians practicing at Methodist Sugar Land, the Heart Center at Methodist Sugar Land, and employee recruiting. Like two previous campaigns produced by XL for The Methodist Hospital in the Texas Medical Center, much of the shooting took place on green screen at the hospital. Images of doctors, nurses and employees were then seamlessly composited into backgrounds shot throughout the hospital. Another spot focused on the 200+ bed expansion now underway at the hospital will air this fall. One of the campaign spots, titled “Doctors” can be viewed on the Reels page on this site.
