XL Films’ documentary “This is Sam” won the Audience Choice Award at the 2007 Houston Halloween Film Festival. The film chronicles the effort of Sam Cordner to reintegrate into society and re-connect with his son upon release from prison. Cordner was a graduate of the Prison Entrepreneur Program where he met XL Films director Scott Jones. Jones serves as an executive mentor for the program. XL also recently completed an inmate recruiting video for PEP, which helps re-channels illicit entrepreneurial behavior toward legitimate endeavors. Both films can be viewed on the Reels page.
